It's been a busy week for Bruce BROOOOOOCE Springsteen: he announced the March release of his 17th studio album, Wrecking Ball, along with the first single from that album, "We Take Care Of Our Own," and a 2012 world tour. While we know he'll be playing Europe come May, he hasn't released details of his US dates yet—but according to the Star-Ledger, Springsteen will be playing the Prudential Center some time in late April or early May, his first show ever in beautiful scenic Newark.

For many, Springsteen is synonymous with the Meadowlands—he played there 24 times, including five shows in 2009 before it was knocked down to make way for the new MetLife stadium. Springsteen even wrote and dedicated the title track of the new album to the old stadium: "Now my home was here in the Meadowlands, where mosquitoes grow big as airplanes/ Here where the blood is spilled, the arena's filled, and Giants play the game."

The Star-Ledger's sources also claim Springsteen signed deals for two shows at the Izod Center in East Rutherford and one show at Madison Square Garden before leaving for Europe—there he and the E Street Band will play 31 shows in 26 European cities from May through July. Perhaps we'll be able to get some better idea of his mysteriously redacted 12-page food rider after this tour.

Below, listen to first single from Wrecking Ball, "We Take Care Of Our Own," as well as a song that would be well suited to Prudential Center, the home of the NJ Devils: "A Night With The Jersey Devil."
