After nine months of isolation it can be difficult to discern what is real and what is fantasy, but I can definitively confirm that what I'm seeing outside of my window right now is snow. Real snow. You can trust me, because I successfully reported on the snow we saw in April, when we were also inside because of a pandemic that is still going on.

[Internal screaming]

My colleagues have also confirmed the snow from their respective homes, and I could really feel their delight come through on their Slack messages. Here is the transcript:

Sophia Chang 11:57 AM
it’s snowing

John Del Signore 11:59 AM
Confirmed

If John Del Signore's word isn't good enough for you, well, maybe the fact that "IT'S SNOWING" is trending on Twitter will convince you. And if all of this isn't the proof you are looking for, then just look outside. Gothamist co-founder Jake Dobkin did, albeit begrudgingly:

If it's not snowing where you are then we don't live near each other, or you are reading this too late. To avoid that from happening again, I recommend refreshing Gothamist every 5 minutes.

If you are reading this in time, then look outside: that's snow, dancing in the air. It may not be the most impressive snowfall, but it is the only thing that will differentiate today from yesterday.

Please send us photos if you are able to artfully capture it, thank you in advance.
