Ever thought about what your bus driver, or the people on your bus for that matter, do when they're not on the job? The NY Times has a story about one bus driver, Christopher Dolan, who has been driving for the city for 27 years and belts out operas on his route. That certainly makes the 2 bucks easier to hand over.

When he was behind the wheel of the M10, he welcomed a serendipitous customer, Vincent La Selva, the artistic director of the New York Grand Opera. Le Selva heard him perform and after advising he retrain his voice because he was not a baritone, Dolan auditioned again as a tenor. While this was last month and nothing has come of it yet, Le Selva told the paper, “He has a very nice voice, an Italianate quality. He needs certain things, but he has very good top notes.”
