Jerry Seinfeld may have been repelled by man hands, but thankfully cutting edge fashion designers Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra have come up with the best way for ladies to discreetly conceal them: Cover them up with gigantic furry mittens.
Wang and Altazarra both showed Fashion Week collections featuring the monstrous and probably very warm accessories. Wang called his mittens (which the NY Times' Eric Wilson dubbed "fur boxing gloves. For punching someone softly") and other garments a "reaction to the graphic slickness and flat angularity" of his previous collection. Fashion, always so subtle.
Altuzarra insisted that he and Wang (they are friends) didn't plan similar looks, but added that his fur mittens "are better."
One person we bet will be getting fur hand extensions is J. Crew executive creative director Jenna Lyons. They'd go perfect with her Spirit Bear look!
