The Amstel Beer Bike—possibly the best worst idea ever—is coming back to town. On Thursday, May 26, the Dutch beer company is taking over Stone Street ostensibly to celebrate the end of the month ("when things generally start to slow down for the summer") and is bringing their 10-seat bar on wheels with them.

Unfortunately, though, you won't be able to ride the beer around town (can you imagine how the ticket-happy NYPD would take to that?) but you will be able to take photo ops with it. Furthermore, they'll be stringing red lanterns and banners up and down the street and offering "trading tickets" good for a drink at participating pubs (that'd be Ulysses', Stone Street Tavern, Beckett's Bar & Grill, and The Dubliner). Oh, and if let brand reps take a picture of you with an Amstel Light you can get a free pair of "red Wayfarer-style sunglasses."

Meanwhile, watching this video of the bike in action we really wish it were going to be rolling around on Thursday:
