And the list of free promotional food trucks gets longer! Dunkin' Donuts, already nearly inescapable in our fair city, has gone and joined the food truck game. And when they say truck they mean truck. Just look at that picture!
Created specifically to promote the chain's new line of "hearty snacks," the truck made its debut at Citi Field last Thursday and will grace the public with its presence for the second time on Thursday. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the truck will be parked at Union Square North giving out free samples of the chain's new all-day menu items—things like their chicken salad sandwich, stuffed breadsticks (available in cheeseburger and pepperoni and cheese flavors), "bagel twists," and warm apple pie.
So, if chains are getting into the food truck game (even if only for one-day promotions), who is going to hit the road next? Will there be an Olive Garden truck doling out breadsticks? Or a Hooter's truck handing out wings?
