A slightly morbid bit of real estate news from the folks over at Ditmas Park Blog: Whisk Bakery Cafe, the coffeeshop owned by slain Brooklyn resident Josh Rubin, is hosting a one-dayonly assets sale this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sell off the shuttered business's equipment.
DMB notes that Rubin's family asked that community members spread the word about the sale, the entire contents of which can be seen on this Craigslist posting. Items include everything from an oven to refrigerators to ice machines, which leads us to believe that the space is not being reopened as another restaurant anytime soon. A memorial service for Rubin was held in Brooklyn earlier this month, and his gruesome murder remains unsolved.
