The two teens who were arrested for allegedly shoving an 81-year-old man into the subway tracks after stealing his iPhone were charged with attempted murder. The Daily News reports, "Jaqua Sowells, 17, and Taheen Herkul, 15, who live in the same building at Borinquen Plaza in Williamsburg, were also hit with robbery and felony assault charges for attacking Andrew Wong at the J-M-Z stop" at Lorimer last Friday.

The News adds, "Sowells has five prior arrests, police sources said, including three for robbery and one each for drug sales and assault."

Wang, who suffered a sprained ankle, cuts and bruises (he's also adorable), was helped out of the tracks by fellow subway riders. He told the media, "They are young and have a lot of chances to do good. They can still turn their lives around. I wish only to get my iPhone back," as well as expressed some stoicism, "It happened, so what can you do?"
