However, there are concerns regarding the vetting of former President Bill Clinton, not to mention possible conflicts--Politico points out, "it could prove problematic for Obama if the former president continues to arrange donations from foreign countries at the same time that his wife, as secretary of state, is asking them for diplomatic concessions." Clinton friend James Carville told the Washington Post, "There's a lot of momentum in the direction of this happening," but acknowledged the Bubba factor: "She's not married to Todd Palin."
