A 15-year-old boy from Connecticut was shot and killed in the Bronx Saturday evening, according to the NYPD.

Police officials said officers responded to a 911 call at around 6:30 p.m. of shots fired inside 1219 Adee Avenue, a NYCHA building in the Laconia neighborhood. The officers arrived on scene to find a 15-year-old boy — later identified as Eric Aitken of Waterbury, Connecticut — with a gunshot wound to his chest.

According to police, Aitken was transferred to NYC Health and Hospitals Jacobi in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

A second teenager was found with a gunshot wound on his left arm several blocks over on 2909 Laconia Avenue. The teen, who police only identified as 14 years old, was also transferred to NYC Health and Hospitals Jacobi and is in stable condition.

Police officials did not say how the two victims were related or if each shooting stemmed from the same incident.

The NYPD said there were no arrests made as of Sunday morning and investigation into the incident is ongoing.
