The "animal incident" on the Gothamist Newsmap relates to two deer who were in the parking lot of the Target Store in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. According to WCBS 2, "The two does became stuck behind a chain link fence by the back corner of the store near the loading dock about 11 a.m., with several police officers standing guard. At times, one of the deer became agitated and tried to jump onto the gate, before falling on top of the other deer and eventually calming down and taking a rest. Emergency service units kept the deer contained while they waited for Animal Care and Control to arrive and safely remove the animals." The deer are believed to be from Westchester.
