A 24-year-old driver was shot in the back and then collided with a motorcyclist in the Bronx last night.
According to police, the driver's black Dodge Avenger was shot up at the intersection of Wickman and Pitman Avenues in Eastchester at about 6:30 p.m. One bullet struck the driver in the lower back.
Fleeing the scene, the victim sped one avenue and five blocks to the intersection of Baychester and Nereid Avenues where, police report, a 42-year-old male motorcyclist collided with his car, suffering head trauma.
A witness told the News, "He [the victim] was running from the car and he was saying, 'Call the cops! Call the cops! I got shot!'"
Both men were rushed to Jacobi Hospital and are currently in stable condition. According to an NYPD spokeswoman, the shooter is still at large.
