A giant high pressure system currently north of Lake Superior is going to be in control of our weather the next few days. Since we're on the eastern edge of that system that means unseasonably cold weather today and tomorrow. A cool northerly breeze will battle periods of sunshine to a draw this afternoon and the temperture should hold steady in the mid 30s. The dismal cloud deck is going to try and produce a few flurries this afternoon, but those clouds are about two miles above the ground and the air underneath is bone dry. The cold air will win out overnight, dropping our low to the mid teens and tomorrow's high will barely reach 30 degrees.

Now the very limited good news! As the high moves eastward across Canada the wind here will start coming out of the south and we'll have warmer weather for the weekend. Despite a slight chance of snow or rain on Friday it should warm to the mid 40s. Saturday might reach the lower 50s under mostly cloudy skies.

A cold front late Saturday night and an Alberta Clipper on Monday will have the temperature bouncing all over the place. Sunday cool! Monday warm! Tuesday warm or cool depending on what forecast you prefer! Everyone is saying cool weather after next Tuesday but as of now no significant storms are on the horizon.
