Earlier this afternoon, we got a report of a jumper down on 45th Street and 8th Avenue. The unidentified man tried to jump to his death from nine stories up, but was saved by a massive pile of garbage that hadn't been picked up because of the blizzard. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition, but one official told the Daily News that the garbage pile is "the only reason he's alive." Does this mean Mayor Bloomberg is off the hook?
