Earlier today we received a tip that a man had become trapped by an A train on 125th Street. The report stated, "ESU advising this is a space case, aided's leg is trapped between the train and the s/b platform." We contacted the MTA, and spokeswoman Deirdre Parker told us:

It started at 10:30 this morning. We understand that the person was running for the train and he tried to grab the doors and force them open, and he slipped and his leg was wedged between the platform and the train body. He was removed to a hospital.

In June, a man got his leg caught between the D train at the platform at the Grand Street station, and in December Michael Dion was crushed between the extendable platform and the 4 train at Union Square. To curb the accidents, the MTA is considering building sliding doors along the platforms. We suggest you just stand back for now.
