There are a few more details about the man who was killed by the L train at the Halsey Street station yesterday morning. According to the Daily News, the accident "left part of the man's mangled body on the platform alongside the subway car" and the "train's motorman spotted the young man on the tracks, but could not stop the Canarsie-bound train in time."

The man, who was white and appeared to be in his 20s, was not carrying ID. The Post's MTA sources say "the man, who law-enforcement sources said had been intoxicated, had been trying to get his keys after they fell onto the tracks."
