A man was arrested in Queens last night for allegedly beating his girlfriend's 19-month-old daughter to death. WCBS 2 reports, "The medical examiner believes the little girl died from blunt force trauma to her head and torso. She also reportedly had a broken jaw, a collapsed lung, and bruises on her face." Shannon Allen and the girl's mother initially claimed that little Levant Anniyah fell out of a bunk bed on Thursday, but authorities say her injuries weren't consistent that kind of fall. Allen was charged with second-degree murder; WCBS 2 also says that the girl's mother was questioned but not arrested. Recently a Bronx man was arrested for allegedly fatally beating his girlfriend's 22-month-old daughter.
