Days after high school football star Isayah Muller was killed during a violent confrontation his father had with parking garage attendants, his mother spoke to the papers about her grieving. She's also unhappy that the attendant who fatally stabbed her son wasn't charged: Rosa Seda said to the Post, "I want justice for my child."
Hours after Isayah's graduation from Truman High School in the Bronx, Muller's father, Andre Muller, believed that the parking garage attendants stole a graduation present, $200 bottle of cologne, from their car and confronted them. The incident escalated when Andre Muller allegedly beating one attendant and later breaking a shovel to attack them. One attendant, Joselin Encarnacion, took out a "homemade shiv." The 19-year-old then joined in to protect his father—"He charged through the shack's door like a linebacker and whaled on Encarnacion, who plunged the knife in Isayah's chest," according to the Post's sources.
Andre Muller, who has a history of criminal offenses, was charged with assault, menacing and harassment, while the parking attendants were not. Prosecutors believe the pair acted in self-defense. However, Seda said, "It's not right that he's the only one charged. It's not fair they're just focusing on his dad and not my dead son."
