Everybody ought to have a maid
, sure. But they oughtn't be stabbed to death by a naked maid, y'know? We mention this because of the story in today's News about the October 2001 death of John Conley. You see, according to prosecutors, Conley was stabbed to death by a naked cleaning man he found on rentboy.com named Thomas Cordero.
Cordero allegedly came to tidy up but his self-described "nice ass" was simply too much for Conley and the two got down to a business other than cleaning. Which was all part of the plan, until Conley "got too rough" and grabbed a knife. Cordero claimed he tried to escape and when he couldn't he instead hit Conley in the back of the head. While his john John lay dying, Cordero told police he took $40, "per our agreement," and slipped off.
And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those darn cameras. In April 2007 investigators were able to identify Cordero in surveillance video, which is how the naked maid made it to court. He faces 25-years to life if convicted.
