New York City and surrounding areas are bracing for Sunday’s winter storm, which is expected to bring heavy snowfall, strong winds and bitter cold.

During a Saturday press conference, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said it would be the coldest period New York has faced in about eight years, and the frigid temperatures would persist well into the week.

The blizzard-like conditions are also expected to result in massive disruptions, delays and closures across a wide range of services, including transit, sanitation and schools.
