Fashion Week is on the move, again. Last December we learned that parks advocates had successfully sued IMG Fashion Week to vacate Lincoln Center, its home since 2010, because the week-long event was unlawfully spilling over into the adjacent Damrosch Park, a public park.

Today, IMG announced that this September, that sovereign nation where Cara Delevingne and Karlie Kloss rule supreme will now be split across two venues anchored securely within the concrete jungle: Skylight at Moynihan Station on West 33rd Street in Midtown, and Skylight Clarkson Square on Washington Street in Soho. Fashionista points out that both venues are familiar with Fashion Week and its trappings: Kanye West debuted his full-body nylon tubes at the Midtown outpost this spring, and Ralph Lauren has been showing at the Soho location for two seasons running. Plus, Fashion Week is increasingly decentralized, so fashion editors are already quite used to spending a week Ubering between venues.

This year's Spring shows are scheduled for the week of September 10-17. However, even this seems to be a temporary fix. Someday Moynihan Station will be an Amtrak hub, and the Hudson Yards Culture Shed is still technically underway for 2017.
