A Port Authority bus slammed into a building in Midtown late Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The bus had just finished dropping off passengers at 101 Park Avenue, police said. The building houses multiple businesses, including an art museum, indoor golf studio and club.

After dropping off the passengers around 4:36 p.m., the driver lost control of the bus and struck scaffolding in front of the building, police said.

The NYPD said there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported as of Thursday evening.

Members of the FDNY, the Department of Buildings and the city’s office of emergency management were on the scene, according to police, who added that the investigation is ongoing.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Gothamist on Thursday evening.
