Yowza, yet another significant rain storm to contend with today. Yet another flood watch and coastal flood advisory have been issued. Anywhere from 1-4 inches of rain is possible through tomorrow night as a storm motors up the East Coast. Essentially the storm's axis of rain looks like it will pass over the city. As of this writing this is Central Park's fifth rainiest March on record. Another inch of rain will push us to third on the list but it will take nearly three inches to displace 1983 from the top spot.
Along with rain, warm weather has returned after a cool weekend. Saturday was the coldest day of the month! A southerly breeze will warm the city to the upper 50s this afternoon. Tomorrow will be a little cooler as the winds shift to the east. The rain will finally depart on Wednesday, allowing the high to reach the upper 50s. That'll make this month the third or fourth warmest March on record.
Thursday is expected to be sunny and warm, no April foolin', with a high near 70. As high pressure exerts itself look for sunny and even warmer weather for the weekend. Temperatures look like they will reach the lower to mid 70s from Friday through Sunday.
