Diminutive handyman Juan Pablo Pichardo of Queens is going after Rose Associates, which owns the UES building The Eastmore where he worked, and his supervisor Moises Guimet after the latter allegedly wouldn't stop calling him "midget," smacked him upside the head and covered his locker in porn despite complaints from the small statured man that it was not funny.
According to his hostile work environment lawsuit, Pichardo was "subjected to demeaning and discriminatory comments and sometimes the comments were in front of coworkers." Further "the management has not done anything to stop these actions despite...complaints of discrimination and the conduct had continued unabated."
Pichardo says he was subjected to countless taunts, including the one time that Guimet superimposed "a picture of Pichardo's head onto a photo of a baby's body" and the other time that he put "porn that insulted the handyman's Christian faith" on Pichardo's locker. The suit doesn't say how tall Pichardo is, but residents believe that he is about 5 feet tall.
Not that Guimet meant any harm by it, he swears. "It's nonsense," he told the Post. "It's not true. I loved him like he's my son." Like he was his very short son, apparently.
