Song, the discount carrier Delta created to jump on the Jet Blue/discount-but-chic carrier plane bandwagon is going to be eliminated. Song will be rolled back into Delta, and it will no longer be discount service - it'll try to appeal to business travellers. Is this what happens when you get Kate Spade to design uniforms and try to sponsor a trendy NYC neighborhood in hopes of attracting customers? Maybe Delta was just glad to leave the discount game before one of its jets landing gear got stuck for the world to see.
