According to police, three thieves cornered and beat up a 14-year-old Bronx boy while he was waiting for an elevator in his building earlier this week. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Monday in an apartment building in the Eastchester section of the Bronx, and was caught on surveillance video. The video shows them kicking and beating the victim, after which they stole his sneakers and sunglasses:
You can see one of the robbers taking out his cell phone to record the attack, as the others punched and kicked the teen mercilessly. The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was treated and released. Police say all three suspects are between 16 and 20, and between 5-feet-7 and 5-feet-10.
