Today the NY Post profiled two teachers who educated their students in carnal knowledge, and paid for it. Well, sort of. One—former high school chem teacher Lindsay Dunaj—locked lips with a student in front of seniors and staffers on a prom booze cruise. Another, suspended Queens teacher Alan Rosenfeld, made lewd comments to eight-graders and “stared at their butts.” Yucky. And he still collects his salary!

It was a three-hour prom cruise Dunaj chaperoned for Lafayette High School that sunk the 25-year-old science teacher. The yacht was named “Fantasy” and it came with booze, which students—all recent immigrants to the U.S.—staffers and the principal all drank. Around midnight Dunaj took to the dance floor and started grinding with a strapping young student. "Look at that!" the crowd murmured. "They were making out," said one witness to the spectacle, that was also broadcast on the boat’s lower level via a TV screen. The Brooklyn high school investigated and found inappropriate chats between Dunaj and another student. She quit in December, but the school is under investigation for the whole feeding liquor to minors part of the story.

The second offender, Alan Rosenfeld, was also yanked from the classroom, but for almost a decade has been collecting his salary of over $100,000 year from a city “Rubber Room.” In 2001 six students at IS 347 said the typing teacher accosted them with lascivious remarks like "You have a sexy body," and asked if they were single. He was suspended without pay for a week and then sent to the Rubber Room (a sort of purgatory for teachers who misbehave), because a union contract made it impossible for him to be fired. He sits and does nothing, meanwhile his pension grows $1,700 every year and Bloomberg threatens to cut 2,500 teaching jobs from NY schools. According to an insider he "smells like he hasn't taken a shower in months."
