A cyclist from the Bronx was struck and killed by a pickup truck outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art last night. Police say he was holding onto the back of the truck and fell underneath.

A motorist behind the wheel of a white BMW SUV killed a cyclist in the Bronx yesterday evening just after 7 p.m.

There were 21 cyclist fatalities in 2011, but just two drivers were arrested in the wake of the deadly crashes. Some blame the NYPD, but one Bronx Assistant District Attorney blames society.
