The apology comes as more racist tweets come to light...

On the same day that the NY Post excoriated the son of FDNY Commissioner Salvatore Cassano over a bunch of stupid racist tweets, the kid has resigned from his EMS job (the same job he repeatedly bitched about on Twitter).

"News flash to half of the island, ur white! Stop talking like ur a shwoog," Cassano, who resides in Staten Island with his parents, wrote in August.
