Oscar nominee Alfonso Cuarón will be in New York City next week to present two of his most acclaimed films—Gravity and Children of Men—and discuss his work at the Film Society Of Lincoln Center.

'An Evening with Alfonso Cuarón' will take place on Thursday, February 13. At 6:30 p.m., Gravity will be shown, followed by conversation between Cuarón and Film Comment editor-in-chief Gavin Smith discussing the director's varied career (from a big budget installment in the Harry Potter series to the more scrappy Y tu mama tambien).

Then at 9:15 p.m., Cuarón will introduce his 2006 masterpiece Children of Men, which vividly depicts a dystopian world where humans can no longer reproduce. (Gothamist Managing Editor John Del Signore still insists it's "a love story.")

According to the Film Society, "Single screening tickets for Gravity are $20 for Members and $25 for the General Public and $8 for everyone for Children of Men. A Double Feature Package, for both screenings, is available for $25 for Members and $30 for the General Public." Go to filmlinc.com for more details.
