Miranda Rights? Where we're going, we don't need any Miranda Rights! That seems to be the underlying sentiments of two bumbling thieves who were arrested for a long string of Chinatown burglaries. After they were arrested, Kenneth Harden Smith, 22, and alleged lookout Irving Walker, 31, both admitted to the break-ins, and immediately ratted on each other. Who says there's no honor among thieves!
They admitted to stealing laptops, iPods, cell phones, credit cards and flat-screen TV's, if they happened to be lying around. They've been running their scheme since last summer, and usually hit the apartments between 3 and 5 a.m. Both men were charged with various counts of burglary, and neither could make bail—maybe they had used up all their criminal karma.
