Today's ticker tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes isn't the only Giants celebration happening today. Chris Christie, who insists on calling the team the New Jersey Giants, is throwing a celebration of his own at MetLife Stadium. And Naughty by Nature will be there!
Last month Christie promised a New Jersey boy named Adam Bernstein he'd throw a celebration when the team (which, he reminds everyone, actually plays in New Jersey) won, so that's what the roly-poly governor is doing.
So, how's this going to work? After the parade in Manhattan the Giants are going to hop on a bus and head out to the MetLife Stadium. At 2:15 p.m. the field will open to the public (concession stands will be open, cameras will be allowed and tailgating is permitted). The actual celebration will begin at 3 p.m. and run until about 3:30 p.m. before the whole thing is wrapped up.
Planning on going? All cars are asked to park in lots F and G, buses from the Port Authority will be running directly to the Stadium starting at 1 p.m. But be warned, there will be no trains/buses from Secaucus for this one (though there will be "an increased number of taxis available"). Meh, the ticker tape parade sounds better to us.
